A note from the seller:
Some notes on living at 120 N. Helix in “Beautiful Solana Beach”.
If you love a small town feel on the vast Pacific Ocean, then this is the place for you.
I can speak to you of the many summers where I walked our sleepy/reluctant kids across the street to Jr. Life Guard Camp. Yet somehow at the end of the day, I met 3 surf and sand soaked kids with their endless chatter on who captured the flag or how many dolphins and sea lions they saw on their paddle out to the kelp beds. Only my husband and I were privy to the fact that in all that fun they actually were learning invaluable life saving information regarding the ocean.
Here’s to those winter days when we all collected seashells by the seashore and then raced to reach Fletcher’s Cove before the sun disappeared into the horizon. To the endless Saturday nights at Pizza Port (a pizza haven for the kids), and to walking across the street to catch a train to a Padres game or even a trip to Disney Land.
OK, now here’s to the adult fun. This is a place where you really get to know your neighbors and they become your friends. It’s Thursday summer evenings where everyone gathers for the concerts at the Fletcher Cove Park, or a quick walk across 101 to the train station where we would catch the double decker bus to the racetrack. If it’s walking that you enjoy, then there are a half dozen restaurants in a stones throw, not to mention that ever important retail therapy at the design district on Cedros Street. It is the peace and tranquility when summer winds down and we headed up to the deck for a glass of wine and realize that whoever is lucky enough to make their own memories here will have a forever non-obstructed view of the beautiful ocean that brought us here to begin with.
